It is your responsibility to reach out to the appropriate assessing authority for your occupation and secure a skills assessment if necessary. Each assessing authority follows its own assessment procedures, timelines, and fee structures.

Securing a suitable skills assessment is mandatory for certain visa subclasses and streams, and it may be requested for others. It is advisable to thoroughly review the available information regarding the visa you intend to apply for, enabling you to determine whether a skills assessment is required and the timeframe for obtaining it.

Receive your assessment.
Provide a scanned certified copy of the suitable skills assessment with your visa application. If you don’t get a positive assessment result you cannot apply for a skilled migration visa.
